KAY HONEYMAN!

Kay Honeyman lives, writes, and teaches in Dallas, TX. Her first novel, THE FIRE HORSE GIRL, came out in January 2013. It was published by Arthur A. Levine/Scholastic. It earned a spot on the Texas TAYSHAS honor list, a nomination for the Middle School and High School Sequoyah Award, and a starred review in Booklist. Her next book INTERFERENCE comes out in Fall 2016. It is about politics, small towns, and West Texas football.

I have been obsessed lately with http://postsecret.com/. People send their secrets on 4x6 postcards. Some are posted on the site. All are save and archived. It’s made me think about how our secrets motivate and shape us in surprising ways.

I started to think about my characters’ secrets - ones that they still keep even through the end of the story. So I created postcards for my characters that share one of their secrets. I hope you enjoy!
